• Verification data: OTP verification records used to confirm your mobile number at login and at checkout.
• Communications: messages you send us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and quotation/reseller order requests you submit.
• Technical data: basic device/browser information and locally stored data such as your cart and session, kept in your browser's local storage.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account, and verify your identity via OTP;
• Process, ship and invoice your orders, including generating GST invoices where applicable;
• Send order confirmations, payment status, shipping and delivery updates via WhatsApp;
• Respond to quotation requests, reseller order requests, and customer support enquiries;
• Review and approve reseller and institution account applications;
• Improve the Site, our catalog, and our customer service;
• Comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with trusted third parties strictly to the extent necessary to operate the Site and fulfil your orders:

• Payment processing: our payment gateway partner (PhonePe) processes online payments; we receive payment status but not your full payment credentials.
• Shipping and logistics: our courier/logistics partner receives your name, mobile number and delivery address to fulfil and track deliveries.
• Messaging: Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) is used to deliver OTPs and order/shipping notifications to your mobile number.
• Media hosting: product images are hosted via Cloudinary; this does not involve your personal data.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms and Conditions, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Varma Electronics, our customers, or others.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

The Site uses your browser's local storage (not third-party tracking cookies) to keep you logged in between visits and to remember your cart contents. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data, though doing so will log you out and empty your cart.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including restricting administrative access and using OTP-based verification. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
